Karen Tramontano Addresses Foreign Diplomatic Corps

Panel Briefing on 2017 Pew
Global Attitudes Survey

Karen Tramontano spoke at a panel briefing for the foreign diplomatic community hosted at the Embassy of Finland in Washington, DC focusing on the results of the Pew Research Center's 2017 Global Attitudes Survey. The audience included ambassadors, senior embassy officials, and representatives from the Delegation of the European Union to the United States.

With many countries around the world currently asking questions about how best to engage with the U.S. government, Karen's presentation focused on how foreign embassies can navigate Washington and improve their countries' political, economic, cultural, and investment standing, including by focusing special attention at the state and local level through direct engagement with Governors, Senators, State legislatures, local economic groups, and media.

Congratulations ILO Washington Director Nancy Donaldson

Congratulations to our longtime friend, mentor, partner, and colleague, Nancy Donaldson, who retires after 37 years of working life, including 15 years with the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Nancy has been a wonderful and tireless advocate for many important global issues and challenges over the years. We couldn't have imagined these past decades without her wise and thoughtful engagement and leadership.

We wish Nancy all the best in her new adventures.

What We're Seeing

Jeremiah Baronberg recommends...

Dear Evan Hansen, the original Broadway theater show that swept the 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

This tremendously moving production features upbeat music, an unforgettable cast, and a compelling story for modern times that resonates deeply with a wide range of ages and audiences far beyond the show's final curtain.

Currently playing on Broadway in New York City, the show will launch a U.S. national tour beginning in Summer 2018.
