Al Fresco Dining and
Historic Home...in Paris
Mathilde Defarges recommends...
Le Camondo restaurant and its namesake, the Musée Nissim de Camondo—steps from Parc Monceau in La Plaine-Monceau in Paris' 8th arrondissement.
This newly opened and distinctively appointed hidden restaurant basks in the beauty and history of its museum host—the palatial residence of the Sephardi immigrant House of Camondo banking family, well-known patrons of the arts of the day.
Showcasing "one of the world's most exquisite collections of 18th century objets d'art," the mansion and its possessions—preserved in time—were bequeathed to the French state by Moïse de Camondo in 1935.

On Broadway...The Band's Visit
Jeremiah Baronberg recommends...
The Band's Visit, 2018 winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Score, and Best Director. Based on the feature film of the same name.
After a mix-up at the border, an Egyptian Police Band is sent to a remote village in the middle of the Israeli desert. With no bus until morning and no hotel in sight, these unlikely travelers are taken in by locals. Under the spell of the desert sky, their lives become intertwined in the most unexpected of ways.
The show features great music and singing, including a full live band and a universal story that appeals to all ages.
The Band's Visit, The Ethel Barrymore Theatre, 243 West 47th Street (between Broadway & 8th Avenue), New York, NY, 10036
